The department of Commerce & Management was commenced in this
college in the Year 1971. It initiated to offer B.com courses through the medium
of Marathi. The Department originated BBA and BCA Courses through the
medium of English from 2009 to 2018. Nevertheless, the course offering was
discontinued post 2018-2019 academic years.
The department of commerce conducted a state level seminar in 2010, on
the topic: “Mergers and Acquisitions in the Present Scenario”. The year 2008
marked Dr. Sudhir K. Narnaware, Professor and HOD, beginning to head this
department. Dr. Rameshawar Pathekar was working as Assist. Professor in the
Department prior to his retirement in 2022.
Owing to untimely sad demise of Dr. S. K. Narnaware in 2024, the circumstances
compelled the institution to render the Charge of HOD (Commerce) to Dr. R. S.
Sorte, Associate Professor of Economics and currently, the Department is being
headed by him.
