Shree Pandharinath Arts and Commerce College ,Narkhed was established on 20/06/1971 at Narkhed, Dist Nagpur by Prerana Education Society, Narkhed, which was established by Late Hon’ble, Prof. Shri Dadasaheb Kalmegh, Ex- Vice Chancellor of Nagpur University; Hon’ble Shri Ranjitbabu Deshmukh; Ex-MLC and Late former President of our Society, Hon’ble Shri. Rameshbabu Gupta and other people of this Narkhed circle, and with their joint efforts, endeavors, aiming at the Democratic Set Up of the college for the cause of higher education for poor, downtrodden and weaker sections of society. The academic session of 1975-76 saw that Junior College classes of std. XI and XII were attached to our college as per the Govt. policy. Also in 1990-91 M.C.V.C. was also attached to the Junior Division. At the outset, this temple of learning had enrolled 169 students in Arts and also in commerce streams. At present, the strength of students is increased up to 440 in the senior division of the college. In the beginning, the college was commenced in an old hired building of a farm house.
The year of 1980 marked that it was shifted to a new place owned by the staff and donated to the institution for running the college. The institution with the initiative and sincere efforts of our Late President Shri Rameshbabu Gupta and all the members of the executive committee strived hard to make a new building and to provide infrastructure for the qualitative change in education. For this qualitative education our management, teaching and non-teaching staff are working together. Now Shri Abhijeet Gupta, Ex-Chairman of Narkhed Municipal Corporation, Narkhed and President of Prerana Education Society, Narkhed is making efforts to make it better than ever before. The college was accredited in 2019 by NAAC with B+ grade and as per the recommendations of NAAC peer teem; the college is trying best to follow its Mission and Vision. Now, the college is ready for Reaccreditation in this session 2025-26. We are sure that dreams of our founders will come true very soon.
